No Panic in Scotland – your discharge will remain unaffected

Over the last year I have had many many calls about change in Legislation about direct discharge to any watercourse from a Septic Tank, with many people almost Panicking – You need to know this is an Environment Agency in England and dose not affect any such systems in Scotland under the Scottish Environment Protection Authority or SEPA for short – I have had this directly from the Powers that be that there is no plans in the foreseeable future they anticipate this happening in Scotland, and least scrupulous English Companies don’t appear to enlighten people contacting them of the fact and wonder how many have spend money unnecessarily on changing their tank or other measures to meet this fictitious change.
